Mujeres desde la periferia 

Imágenes que buscan reflexionar sobre mujeres del Estado de México que realizan largos trayectos dentro del transporte público como parte de su movilidad diaria ya sea por razones de trabajo, estudio o para acceder a algún otro servicio en la Ciudad de México. Narraciones de movilidad que al caminar, andar en combi, metro, metrobus, microbuses evocan sensaciones, emociones y sentimientos sobre lo que implica para nosotras poner el cuerpo en el espacio público cuando no se nos ha dado el derecho de ocuparlo.


Mujeres desde la periferia (Women from the outskirts) 

Images that seek to reflect on women from the State of Mexico who make long journeys on public transport as part of their daily mobility, whether for work, study or to access other services in Mexico City. Narratives related to mobility that evoke sensations, emotions, and feelings about what it means for us to put our bodies in public spaces when we have not been given the right to occupy them.

Sobre la artista 

Vive y trabaja en Nezahualcóyotl. Su obra explora desde una experiencia situada, distintas narrativas visuales para reflexionar de manera personal y colectiva, en torno al territorio y al género. Forma parte del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte del FONCA desde el año 2020. Ha sido becada para realizar algunas residencias artísticas y de investigación como el Encuentro de Colectivos de Geografía Crítica y Geografías Autónomas (Ecuador). Su trabajo ha sido incluido en bienales y exhibiciones en Latinoamérica, Norteamérica y Europa, y ha sido publicado en diversos medios digitales e impresos.  


About the artist 

Lives and works in Nezahualcóyotl. Her work explores, from situational experience, different visual narratives to individually and collectively reflect on territory and gender. She has been part of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte del FONCA since 2020. She has received grants to carry out artistic and research residencies, such as the Encuentro de Colectivos de Geografía Crítica y Geografías Autónomas (Ecuador). Her work has been included in biennials and exhibitions in Latin America, North America, and Europe, and has been published in various digital and print media.
